By far my favorite book series that I have ever read. I love how this story has so many twists and turns, and surprises that leave you breathtaken. The love that Lena and Ethan have for each other is something immeasurable, and you can feel it within yourself when you read how Ethan expresses it. Every page you turn leaves you wondering what more will happen, and believe me, much more does happen. It never becomes dull, touches your heart, and makes you understand life in a beautiful way. Like this quote does:"In light there is dark, and in dark there is light." And on top of all of this, there is chaos and action and a amazing protagonist vs. antagonist story that follows it. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves romance, fantasy, and thrillers. Intelligent, funny, and emotionally articulate. Harry Potter meets True Blood and carries you along for a ride that is of depth and complexity. Tackling powerful themes of love, death, loss, and identity in adolescence and beyond through a layered plot line and characters that are both ordinary and easy to relate to and yet extraordinary and other worldly.
