I really really really enjoyed this book! it hit like on every point I think a good book should have. We meet Sydney a girl who is trying to get her foot in the door musically by waitressing at big time celebrity parties and she meets the new and rising country star Dex Wilder. And he is one HOT, smoldering cowboy! the two instantly have a connection and you can feel it radiating through the pages. They hook up one night and Syd runs, she knows what she wants in life and is not willing to sacrifice or have her heart broken. Years later when Dex is a household name they run into each other again and the sparks are still there. But with fame comes a price. Will the pair be able to fight the odds and come together? you will have to read to find out!It was worth the free read and even if wasn't free, would of bought it. LOVED this story. it was short, sweet, had some drama and angst, strong characters, storyline and a lovely ending. I really enjoyed it and would recommend to all my friends. Great read :-) This was the first book in the Nashville Nights series and the first one I have read by Bethany Michaels. I really enjoyed the story. It is a little more sexual explicit than I like, but the story was good. It was about Dex Wilder a famous music star and Sydney an up and coming music singer/songwriter. She plays in a band and sings lead at a bar and also waits on tables. When she meets Dex they really click and it scares Syd away. She figures if she breaks it off now she can save her heart. Little does she realize she has already lost her heart to Dex and his to her. This is a sweet romance and a good read
