About book Zombie Fallout 6: 'Till Death Do Us Part (2012)
This is a weird little series. It took me halfway through the first book to get into the groove of the inappropriate humor, what is usually internal dialogue being external, and seemingly light-hearted approach to the zombie genre. Once I got it into my head that this felt like a character with some time and distance from the events using the "laugh or lose your mind and cry" approach it all made sense to me. I would encourage readers to hang in there, get through the first book, and see if it doesn't grow on you. If I hadn't paid 20 bucks for the audio book I would have stopped a chapter in. I'm soooo glad I didn't because I've finished book 6 and I love this series. This isn't a humorous take on zombies. It is a character (like cops, military, er nurses etc) using sarcasm and black humor to get through tragedy and horror. This book six wraps up several major story arcs that lasted a smidge longer than I would have liked - but the wrap ups paid off big time. OMG!!! This has got to be the best book of the series so far, and that is saying A LOT!!! This is a GREAT series!! Cant wait to read book 7!!! John the Tripper is one of the funniest and unique character in this series...he is HIGHLARIOUS in every sense of the word!!! I loved this book sooooo much, I may just listen to it ALL again right now...I did listen to the cave scene again..and JUST as FUNNY a second time!!! I WANT TO HANG OUT WITH JOHN THE TRIPPER!!!!!! 2 THUMBS UP!!!!!! WOOOOOOHOOOOOO!!!!!!!
