Didn't leave me hungry for book 2 Zombie books aren't my usual fodder and I wanted to broaden my horizons. The book offended me in a number of places; the way that Tufo wrote some of the female characters just turned me off. Also the quick-fire humour at the start relied heavily on American knowledge which I don't have and I felt the wind as they flew straight over my head. The plot was inventive, the idea of undead intelligence executed (pardon the pun) very well. Overall the descriptions of the action were quite strong, although this did lapse in places where it felt like the author wasn't invested in the action; particularly when it wasn't the main character being involved.By the time I finished book 1, it did not leave me wanting to reach for book 2. Hilarious! I laughed from beginning to end with this book. It was great that the author took a recent panic epidemic of the H1N1 scare and turned it into a zombie book. I was hooked from the very beginning. Now I do love me a good zombie story but this one was one of my favorites. I like books that have a hint of plausibility in them while keeping everything fictional. I enjoyed this book very much!
Love these books. Who wouldn't love a story about a germaphobe going through a zombie apocalypse!
