I enjoyed this as an easy, predictable read, but I'm longing for more of an emotional connection to a lot of the characters. Jillian's struggle in her present life is never explored, I was left wondering why she was so unhappy, what led to this depressed yearning for her old life and what happened to get her to such a sad place? Then suddenly, she's waking up in the past. I have several unanswered questions about the whole book, so I can't say I loved it. I did, however, enjoy the perspective on looking back and remembering why she fell in love with Henry and why she left Jack. It's easy to look back on past relationships with fondness, but the reminder of why she ended up with who she did was an interesting reality check. I'm pretty lukewarm on the book and the author. I don't know that I'd read her again. Surface level, unattached and predictable. This book speaks to so many of us that live with all the "what-ifs" haunting our frustrated minds. I liked this book and the realizations she came to as the story evolved. We all have these ah-ha moments, where we figure everything out a little too late, lucky for Jill she was able to go back and re-live these moments and attempt to make things better. ******SPOILER******I did not like how it all wrapped up so quickly in the end though. She solved how to get back much too quickly, and I was disappointed at how she returned to a somewhat different life. We all have things we wish we could change about our past, but unfortunately we cannot. so realistically I think she should have returned to how things were in the beginning of the story, and used what she had learned along the way to better her life from then on.
