About book Plötzlich Fee - Sommernacht (2010)

I spent much of this past month whizzing through the seven books in this series - so I'll go ahead and review them as a set.I find that I like "Fey" themed books - so I've read quite a few this year. This author has created a very rich story-line, unique to itself -while still tying in well with fey folk-lore. The characters are strong and well developed, with some really interesting inter-relationships. Seriously, her characters just come to life and jump right off the page. The story lines are fast paced, action packed, while still providing two strong romantic leads. Each new book ties in incredibly well with the previous book but still manages to provide a fresh and ever developing story. If you like this kind of book, you will find yourself going through the series very quickly. The Iron King was an excellent read with lots of twists to keep it interesting. Grimalkin, the cat, was hilarious, a cross between the Cheshire Cat from Alice in wonderland and grumpy cat. Grim is clearly untrustworthy but there were times when he(or she, I'm not actually sure...) softened up to help Meghan and I know Grim will be an important part of the rest of the series. The fact that the story uses characters from A Midsummer Night's Dream, was intriguing because although I read it at Secondary school, I can barely remember what happened. This might have been a good thing because if I knew what happened in that story, there could have been a potential spoiler alert. What can I say about Megan, Ash and Puck; the unfortunate love triangle? I want to comment on the ending but it would ruin the entire story for you. Puck reminds me of Simon from The Mortal Instruments, the goofy bestfriend who loves but will never get the girl, or so I assume. In this story, let's just say that promises and debts are taken very seriously in the Nevernever (faery-land) and there's no way to unmake an oath regardless of how much you regret it later...Favourite Quotes:Puck stepped forward. "Ladies and felines," he stated grandly, grasping the doorknob, "welcome to Tir Na Nog. Land of endless winter and shitloads of snow.""So what?" I challenged, pulling the quilt tighter around myself. "All you're telling me is I won't betray my friends or family. If that's a weakness, it's one I want.""What if I can't?" I whispered. "What if the Iron King truly is invincible?""Then we will all die," said the Elder Dryad, and faded back into her oak. The other dryads left, leaving me alone with a cat, a prince, and a stick. I sighed and looked down at the wood in my hands."No pressure or anything," I muttered.

Do You like book Plötzlich Fee - Sommernacht (2010)?

OMG! So many feels! ... So because I'm tired and I want to give my raw review, this will be short and sweat. This book was like Labyrinth, Peter Pan, Alice in Wonderland, Mid summers nights dream, and Pans Labyrinth all in one. I'm excited excited to read the rest of the series. Characters ; Meghan: she was good. I mean, I wasn't blown away by her, but she def was a good character. I can't wait to explore her power more. Ash: he was def the dark and sexy third point of the love triangle. He and Meghan have that cat and mouse , Romeo and Juliet kind of Conection so of course it's cute and romantic. But it seems like next book will explore it more so I can't wait. Robbie ( not gonna give away his real name to not spoil the surprise): I loved him! Honestly I like him more then Ash. But I hear that Ash has more of a following. The only thing is that it was weird how he acts with her. Like the cafeteria scene he just lets her walk in without him. Do they not eat lunch together? And how he so easily left while running away from Ash in the beginning . I don't know maybe he just is trying to hide his true feelings sense obviously he does like her. Grim: he made the book for me! Every hero needs a furry sidekick and he was the right one . He acts like he is only in for the deals and favors but I think he truly likes and cares for Meghan. I can't wait for more of his sarcasm. Questions after reading: What happened to Meghan's dad ? Her human dad that is.Does her stepdad know? And is that why he doesn't like technology or is just cause he doesn't like technology? Gonna pick the next one up soon!

This was definitely a plot driven book, because the character's were so flat I could draw on them! The only character I actually liked was Ash. I HATED Meghan. I just don't know how I feel about this book. I liked some parts, but then ended up skipping huge paragraphs just to finish it. I've never been so torn about a book before... but I'm leaning on the negative side on this one. To describe this book in one word: Meh. This book was such a mess.
