So, I'm on a sports kick when it comes to novels, it seems. Things I liked:Jordan: She was great at football, but more importantly, she didn't act like it was something crazy or totally unusually. Her confidence in her ability and her preparation made me really admire this aspect of her character. You don't always get a lot of YA protagonists who are so disciplined when it comes to tough things like sports. The dude bro friends/football team: Man, these guys were awesome. Seriously. I wanted to hang out with them in Jordan's basement, watching football and eating pizza. What a great group of supportive, platonic friends. I really loved that about this novel.Things I didn't like:The love interests: Both Ty and Sam were deeply flawed. I felt like Ty was on the verge of being abusive in how controlling he was. Sam was an immature prick who couldn't deal with his feelings, so he had to jump on every other girl in the area. How did he have the grades to get into Michigan? He was too busy breaking the rules to concentrate on both football and school. Jordan's naivety when it came to dating: Seriously, you have a 6' tall model and no one wants to date her? Yeah, right. The whole thing seemed off, especially the fact that she didn't pick up on Sam's lusting after her for years. A flawed book, but still enjoyable. Jordan's healthy attitude towards sex and her football made her a likable protagonist, so I'd give this a 3.5. Typical Contemporary. I like this book but it's not exactly the type of book I'd go about gushing to my friends.Basically there's a lot of football. And I'm like.. Ugh.Not that I don't like football, but you know?Lots of hot guys though. And Henry! Oh, Henry ;)I wish I had a guy bestfriend like him! :)))but then, the book was slow-paced (for me) and her (Jordan's) conflicts were kind of annoying. I got a little bit bored.Overall, It was an okay read. No chance of me ever picking it up again though.
