Rarely do I finish a book and 1. call a therapist or 2. curl into a ball and cry...this one evoked some rare feelings. Megan's writing is stellar, and despite the difficult subject matter, she captured intense emotions from beginning to end. I couldn't start another book for several days after I finished this one. It stuck with me a great deal, and even now, several weeks afterwards, I find myself dwelling on the story. Wonderful feeling to find books like this that ingrain themselves into your mind. ATTENTION! SPOILERS!!3.5 stars!This is the first novel I read by Megan Hart Therefore , unlike others who have read it , I was not expecting an erotic component , although I must admit that I hoped . However, the story does not bore the reader and the author has been good to entertain even in a situation ( as she narrated ) in which not much happens. I mean, a woman and a man trapped in a remote house . There would be much to tell anyway.If I have to find fault I would say that I was expecting something better for the final . To begin with, I would have called the third son Stevie , as the brother who saved the life of Todd , or at least I would have chosen a name that somehow remembered the man . Also, I would write a few more chapter , just to say if Gilly had failed to achieve any of the points written in the list, as her husband had reacted to the news of his son, for example, if he had doubts as to whether it was really his own son.Overall though it is a book that deserves to be read , I recommend it especially to women who sometimes feel suffocated by their own lives.
