I really enjoyed this book and series. Ms. Brooks draws her readers into the very interesting lives of the small town of Keeneston. There are wonderful laugh-out-loud parts as well as edge-of-your-seat moments. The story line is real smooth and easily followed. There were no loose ends and a HEA ending with some unpredictable conclusions.I love the main characters, Bridget and Ahmed, in this #6 book of the Bluegrass Brothers series and the supporting characters (the Davies, the Rose sisters, Mo's family and country, etc.), who greatly added to the story and series.Thank you Ms. Brooks for this wonderful series. I borrowed this book through my Amazon Prime account but ended up buying it to reread it whenever I wanted to, on my long commutes to work. I must confess that I skipped Cy and Gemma's story because Ahmed has been a favorite character of mine but I look forward to reading it next after your references to their story grabbed my attention and interest. It is the last in the Bluegrass Series and it was an exciting read from start to finish. Fans of the series had always been intrigued by the fiercely loyal, dark, dangerous, deadly character known only as Ahmed. His name struck terror into the hearts of every criminal who crossed his path, and his reputation earned him grudging respect from law enforcement agencies worldwide. "Final Vow" tells Ahmed's story and it provides insight into the reasons for his transformation from a gentle, peace-loving individual into one of the most feared interrogators on the planet. Like the other books in the series "Final Vow" is a romantic novel which is laced with drama, suspense, action and intrigue! In addition to sharing some very passionate moments, Ahmed and Bridget work together to disrupt criminal activity in Pakistan, Italy and Egypt; they become involved in a street brawl which earned them a night in an Italian prison; and with the assistance of the US military, they foiled a coup that threatened to overthrow of the Middle Eastern kingdom of Rahmi. I think I have read just about all of the books. By far, my favorite is Final Vow. The hero and heroine are so strong and competent. The supporting characters are funny, entertaining and lovable (I include the animals as supporting characters.) The romance really appealed to my heart. The hero was not intimidated by the heroine's strength. He trusted her ability to protect him as she trusted his to protect her. There was not a lot of back and forth insecure nonsense. I especially liked the fight that took place in the parking lot when the heroine and the female deputy were attacked by hitmen, and the two women totally kicked butt.
