Lovely.Really enjoyed it and am so happy to have found another regency-writing author with a writing style that fits me so well. There was lots of humor, awkwardness, solid romance and the real went hand in hand with the absurd quite nicely. Miss Dare's writing is intriguing and fresh and her sprinkling of moments with the side characters who would get their own books was a delight.I adored Bram and Susanna's story. Can't wait to dive into Colin and Minerva's. That would be just frought with laughter and absurdity (especially since I'm still debating on who of the two is more absurd). 3.7-4.1 Stars. Public Library 8/1/14. This is my second book by Ms. Dare and while it was good it isn't my favorite. Both the H and h are strong independent characters which is a nice change from most regency romance books. This is the first book in the Spindle Cove series and holds a lot of promise for other excellent books. Spindle Cove is a retreat for those ladies that find themselves different then what society expects them to be. It is here in this little English town where they are given a change to spread their wings and be who they want to be. Miss Susanna Finch is their defacto leader and she keeps them all on a strict schedule. Her life and little down are disrupted when Lieutenant Colonel Victor Bramwell comes to town with a mission and a plan. Tempers and passion clash when Susanna and Bram get together.
Ne sevdim ne sevmedim, sadece serilere olan tutkumdan okudum.
