It was cute for a novella. The romance was adorable and pretty decently paced considering it's a shorter story. I had some issues with Luke, he was way too inconsistent for me at times. But I enjoyed Cecily, she was definitely more patient than I would be with him.I wish there was more of Portia and Brooke, they were hilarious. Overall, I do think her Spindle Cove novels are better though because the characters are more developed. This is great if you want a quick fun, and humorous read! I wish we lived in an age where rich people could just pay authors and other talented people to just sit and write for them all day. I'm not rich enough to do it, but I'd find someone who was rich enough to pay Tessa Dare to write all day along and do nothing else so I would never have to go without new Tessa Dare to read. As it is I have go until August. Boo. This was awesome. The only drawback? Too short. I wanted more. Because I love Tessa. Who do I have suck up to get A Lady by Midnight before August? I can't wait that long.
This was a good historical romance, and I would very much like to read more from this author.

Not paranormal, despite the title. Fun historical set outside the ballroom.

It was a too short version of a full-length I would have liked to read.

Short story, read in about an hour.
