About book Trois Nuits Ou Jamais (2012)

This 3 book series featured 3 exceedingly different males which made each book a different kind of read. Book 1 was my favorite because it has so much humor in it. Book 2 had a tragic hero. But Three Nights with a Scoundrel had the character who was the most unlikeable in all the books. Jeremy, the crowd pleasing, fashion trending wit, who has been obnoxious in his efforts to protect Lily, the twin of Leo. Still grieving for her brother, Lily now fears that Jeremy -who is only likeable around her- will die next. He is wasting away trying to solve the murder, and protect Lily who is deaf. We knew there was more to Jeremy's background from his sarcastic remarks about the wealth of the aristocracy, in past books, but Oh there is sooo much more to Jeremy that ever dreamt of. He promises Lily 3 nights to help her begin to join society- something she hasn't really done. Lily has lived through Leo in the past, with his friends and needs help with social clues and the exhausting efforts of trying to lip read in a crowd. With Jeremy he has always known how to make it easier. Differences in class, mystery and a disability make the romance a tremendous struggle. Each time Lily goes out with Jeremy she realizes there is more she doesn't know about him. Like an iceberg she has only seen the visible side of Jeremy his secrets, past and hardships make his spiteful behavior in the past understandable. But he is as stubbornly determined to do his best and save Lily by leaving her as she is to be with him. All the past characters do re enter and prove just as interesting. Minor story lines and a wonderful epilogue make this a great finale to a series with a stupid name. I just couldn't do it; I skipped a large part of the book. I didn't care about Julian in the first two books and Lily wasn't interesting enough to carry the book. I read about half the book hoping it would get interesting. If more of the back story had been presented sooner, I might have tolerated it. But it was just so bad I couldn't keep reading. So, I skipped a hundred pages and skimmed the end to find out "who done it". I think the book had potential, but it just took to long to get going.

Do You like book Trois Nuits Ou Jamais (2012)?

Not as good as the first two, but worth finishing the series up. Had a better ..twist than most.

Good read. A plot inconsistency late in the book, but it can be overlooked easily enough.
