After reading the Spindle Cove series I had high expectations for her books. I bought the Stud Club trilogy expecting more of the humor from the previous series but was extremely disappointed with the first two books. I found myself reading them just because I hate not finishing up a book. There was just something missing. This book was by far the best from the trilogy, more of what I was expecting from Tessa Dare. This book grabbed me and didn't let go, the characters were more interesting and it just seemed to flow. I thoroughly enjoyed this one. While I wasn't a huge fan of Julian in the previous books, but here he absolutely shone. Lily was great as well. I think Tessa Dare did a great job of showing what it meant for Lily to be deaf. And the answer to the mystery of Leo's death was certainly not what I expected. It was absolutely heart-breaking and really well done. I'd really like to see a spin-off series. Or just a single book... Something. Anything that had more of Peter Faraday. Also, more of Claudia. Boy, do they both need their respective HEAs. Pretty please?
