3.5 almost 4 stars- What a frustrating man!! Good lord! He's just so damn suffocating. She's going to be the one dying of a heart attack with how wound up she is because of him being so unreasonable. We finally got more info on who Jesse is and his past but it was still like pulling teeth. He keeps lying by omission to Ava about Coral, just keeps digging himself in his hole. She tries to make him see sense but he cuts her off with the countdown and sex. Eventually, when shit hits the fan, thats when he tells Ava everything. After he gets himself stabbed, that's when he does it. He could have saved Ava the heart ache if he'd just been honest from the start. Important plot lines were dragged out like the drugging which happened in the last book and the car chase, the dead flowers & threats. It dragged and I starting skimming the sex scenes. I could have done without the Sam & Kate show. Like I didn't care for them or that hot mess Kate.I'm surprised Ava didn't miscarry with how stressed out she was. It was a LONG road to a HEA & I was beyond exhausted. The epilogue made up for it tho. Oh God.. This trilogy really consumed me. I mean..Jesse Ward really consumed me. He's the best boyfriend/lover/husband material, minus his ugly past of course. If I could, I'd give 10 stars for this story. Between Fifty Shades of Grey, Crossfire, and this, I love this story most.I'm sad Jesse's story has over. Short stories 'bout Ava and Jesse would be very welcome. Please, author... I'm having Jesse's withdrawal already. Hehehe..
