This is 'packed' as the word packed gets! I loved how Ava stayed true to her words and never run from Jesse even after all that she had found out about him. It goes to show how much she really fell for Jesse. And seeing her demonstrating that, even in the nastiest way she could think of, made my heart melt into puddle. I loved how strong the characters were and how they made each other as each others' sources of energy. Reading this book is like watching a terrible porno where 20 minutes of a 21 minute video is spent kissing unconvincingly. These two characters has sex like 5 times a day, and it is still the most boring thing I have ever read. I'd get more sexual excitement from watching Elizabeth Bennett and Mr. Darcy argue 80% of P&P, and they didn't have sex once in that book.Update: Ok, sorry not sorry, but I can get no further in this book. It is so awful. Forget grammatical mistakes, I forgive grammatical mistakes all of the time. This book however, I cannot forgive. On top of being fairly difficult to understand sometimes, it is also extremely difficult to relate to. Jesse is the sleaziest man I never want to meet. Not sexy AT ALL! He reeks of disgusting. And I don't like being told that he doesn't. I have read lots of books with screwed up characters, lots of very sexy, vulnerable, screwed up characters, but don't piss on my face and call it love douche bag. And don't try to sell me this obsession with Jesse crap, because I aint buying it. Don't trample over everything that could possibly make me "me", and then say you love me, you don't. Ava is but a shell for Jesse's idea of a perfect woman.Honestly, I could even forgive Jesse his shortcomings, if a half-way decent plot came out of it. But there is nothing. Ava ruins what little this book could have accomplished. Ava is a weak character, and she does't challenge or progress this book in the least. She forces us all into this mind-numbing loop of boredom. The sex is boring. The arguments are annoying, but at their core, boring. You know how they will end, Ava on her back without even lifting two fingers to make any real progress in this ridiculously unhealthy relationship. Why even bother anymore. Ava has given up, I think I should too. This book is so incredibly redundant, and I just can't anymore. A co-worker begged me to read this book, so I forced it, even though I was pretty much done by the middle of the first book. I was done, but I kept going because who doesn't love to book club it up. But I can't finish this. I don't want any of this near my psyche. I don't like my man trampling me, and you won't be tricking me into somehow finding a trampler sexy or romantic.
Do You like book Mi Hombre. Obsesión (2013)?
‘You are very challenging, but you’re my challenging man and I love you, so you’re worth the frustration.’I'm giving it 5 stars...I more love this one than the first. You got to see how dark and sordid Jesse's past was, making him this complicated, challenging man in his present. Challenging that Ava didn't understand fully, at first, but eventually understand more as Jesse starts and slowly opening up his life to Ava. I love Jesse that he is doing his best to eliminate all the threats that may come between him and Ava, trampling to all of them. I also admire him to get in touch and win Ava's parents. I may also have to applaud Ava for staying longer and stronger for Jesse, for not running away. She was presented a lot of awful past, filthy doings of Jesse in the past and still not running away from him. She really love him for who he is and Jesse loves him very much, very dearly and very possesively. This is one really an erotic novel. Lots of sex, different kinds of it. Making love, sense fuck, reminder sex, sleepy sex, retribution sex. Wow! Ava must be really sore every-fucking-day! How is she managing to walk properly?? Lol! I'm gonna read the third book and looking forward for the two getting married and will they have a child? As per Ava's thinking that Jesse is planning her to get pregnant. Maybe I will find the answers in the next book.

Interesting premise of this book, however there is no character development. As other reviews I've read have stated, the heroine is beyond stupid and the hero is no hero at all. He's a stalker, he's a co-depedent alcoholic, and he's an addict to many things. All in all he's crazy. I will read the third book, because I want to finish this series, but among this genre of books, this is probably the worse I have read. Ava's family and friends all seem to fall prey to Jessie's charms, when they should be packing her stuff and hiding her in witness protection.
