book 3 of the Beyond the Spiderwick Chronicles, which is the Spiderwick Chronicles with a new trio of kids (although the Grace kids are in this one through most of it ). Yet another kids' book. Above average, but not something I would recommend to adults. The second series is a bit longer (~150 pages as opposed to the first series ~100 pages per book). The first series was better & made more sense. Overall, a good book. But, it disappoints me being the last book in the Spiderwick chronicles. The Wyrm King is the last book in the Beyond the Spiderwick Chronicles series. The book was longer than the other two in the series. We get to see Jared, Mallory, and Simon again which is nice. There isn't much more I can say without giving too much away, but the ending was too abrupt for my tastes. I would've liked a better character line than there was in this series. Laurie was fine, but Nick could've been better. I don't know what it was about him, there was just something I didn't like that I don't find in most books. I have all three, but for someone who hasn't read the whole series, this book would make no sense. They made references to the other books in this series, and even Jared, Simon and Mallory made some references to the original series. I would recommend this to anyone who has read the oringinal Spiderwick Chronicles. I would not recommend this to people who haven't read it because it doesn't explain much about the main topic of the original stories.
