I was not happy with the first half of this ICoS installment.I was irritated with the awful logic and all those stupid choices, decisions, and all the miscommunication, non communication. Talk about flawed characters...but I kept reading. All because of Hsin and Boyd...mostly Hsin after Boyd kept making me so angry. No tears this time, just a lot of muttering. "Idiot" may have been said once or twice or thirty times. My irritation throughout the first half was mollified in the second, though. And that last quarter moved my rating from three to four stars. Side notes: I loved Emilio. Actually, a lot of the secondary characters were awesome.Like Wanda :)...and Kaspar and Owen and Ryan and Harriet and...What's up with the Vermont mystery? As expected the beginning of this book just made me feel really depressed and upset. However, the last bit was just "Yay! Finally!" kind of feeling. However, knowing that it was only the 3rd book, I had a sense of foreboding. Something bad was bound to happen. I'm typing this after I started reading book 4 already. All I can say is that Boyd and Sin's relationship is just a rollercoaster ride. I really hated Ivan's involvement and how he felt like he could claim ownership. There were so many times I just wished they would communicate better and not waste all that precious time but knowing their characters, that may be impossible.I haven't regretted starting this series and I'm dreading coming to the end in book 4 yet I can't wait for Boyd and Sin to get their HEA. Oh well...
