Loved this "shorty" (it's not that short by normal standards but it is compared to the other books).I was really happy to see what everybody was up to and where they ended up AND... DUN DUN DUN!!!There's definitely going to be a sequel and shit is all up in the air again.. hope at one point we will have a nice, comfy happy ending.. then again, these people don't seem to be satisfied with nice and comfy, they need mayhem!!! I don't fangirl often, in fact almost never, but I have sudden desire to scream like a loon. I somehow missed the release of this book and this morning when I discovered it, there was no question what I would read next.Where to start? I don't know. All the stories give great insight within the lives of our beloved characters and open many doors into their future. The hottest story was Emilio and Zach's. The most revealing about the characters - Owen & Jeffrey’s. The warmest - Hsin and Boyd's (the last sentence also made me scream: YES! YES! F@CK THEM UP!). The funniest comrade fest - Harriet, Archer and Doug’s. The biggest mind fuck - Kassian & Ryan’s story. And Viv's - well, there will be some interesting stuff with Viv in the future...BECAUSE THERE IS A FUTURE! Awgh, that author's note at the end...The Lexington Defectors FTW!O.K. Now that I'm calmer, I can say that this is probably the one book this writing duo did together that I don't want to hack with editing axe. Much tighter and better written than any of ICoS books. The fun they had while writing is visible on every page. But, it's dependent on the series (if you haven't read it, you wouldn't understand any of characters' circumstances or growth), so it gets the highest rating I give to such books - 4 stars.The Lexington Defectors FTW!
