Do You like book Passin' Through (1985)?
This has to be one of my favorite Louis L'Amour books. I just finished reading it for probably the tenth time and I couldn't get enough of it. All of Louis L'Amour's books are like this. They make you feel like you are actually living back in the old west. Passin' Through is one of those books that keeps you guessing on what is going to happen next. Makes you love certain characters and hate others. It is an amazing old western that will never get old to me. I honestly suggest anyone who loves westerns read any of L'Amour's books. They will never want to read another western after.

Its a good book about a cowboy that wanders through the west doing random jobs and what he needs to to get by. He goes into a town and a man challenges him into a gun fight and he beats him but a group from the town take revenge and try to hang him but before he dies and after they leave an indian lady cuts him free and he takes the horse they used to hang him and travels as fast as he can to get away from them and he finds a ranch with 2 ladies on it and they welcome him and he thanks them by helping them with there ranch but he finds letters in the barn and finds a will saying the ranch belongs to a different women. he asks one of the ladies for a deed and they show him one but he goes to town and looks for the lady and finds she just arrived from town with a man to take back her ranch but after hw leaves her and the guy and her go to the ranch to see the ladies he follows them and listens to them talk inside the house and the women and him find out there con artists that plan on killing her for the farm. (The main character called Mr. passin)helps the women who rightfully own the ranch escape and he takes her back to town and comes back to the ranch and get shot but takes out one of the con artists and the man and one of the lady con artists run away and he finds the lady and lets her go but the lady who rightfully owned the ranch married mr. passin and after they marry and walk out of the church the man con artist shows up and talks about how sad it is to widow a newly married women and goes to shake his hand but mr. passin shots him after he finds out he is wearing a concealed sleeve gun and he and his new wife go home to there ranch.
