And though his parents are killed in the battle against Pitch, the Nightmare King and his Fearlings are defeated by the elusive Nightlight, and they disappear for centuries. William Joyce wrote what is probably the most memorable and beloved children's book from my childhood: Dinosaur Bob and His Adventures with the Family Lazardo. So when my fiance, a children's librarian, told me about this particular series I wanted to give it a try.The art is absolutely gorgeous and the story William Joyce has spun together for the Guardians universe is fantastic. These picture books are a joy to read and a pleasure to view.

Reads like a bedtime story. Illustrations are amazing but the story itself wasn't as appealing.
