Now & Forever initially seemed like a cute and quick contemporary read but it evolved into something much deeper than that. This novel is focused on the idea of staying true to yourself even though life is changing all around you.I'm giving this book two stars but don't think this book is terrible...it just wasn't anything special to me. The first quarter of the book was great, but as the novel continued, I just felt that there was a lot of repetition going on within the storyline and it started to bore me (which for a book that is only 258 pages, was a bit disappointing).Certain aspects of the main character, Sterling, I loved (for example her fixation on correcting typos) and others I didn't. I was also a bit disappointed by the direction Ethan's character took. The way this novel wraps up had me feeling like Ethan's problems were still unresolved.The core message of this book was great, but the execution of it fell flat for me. I've read a few novels focused on celebrities and fame this month, and I think now is a good time to give myself some space from them. :P I'm going to be one of those rare comments that is actually a review on the good stuff of this book. Not saying people are extremely rude for stating their opinion, but I do think you need to state the positive in the book before you rant about the negative. For starters, I thought this book was amazing. It related to me on so many levels, and then there were some parts where I learned new things. I've seen quite a lot of adults writing reviews on this, and in my opinion, they have so much criticism simply because this story isn't for them. Okay? It's for tween:teen girls and I'm sorry if I offend anyone with that statement but it's true. It was one of my favorite books and I thought it was pretty dang cute. There were a lot of plot twists right at the end but that's what glued me to the edge of my seat. The characters were sweet and slightly unpredictable. I have to admit they were a bit cheesy, but you can't have a perfect book, if you know what I mean. All in all it is an amazing book for people my age (teen/tween is age). Adults can read it but they are a lot more disappointed because the writing/reading level isn't for them. All in all it was a good book (: (sorry if there's typos, I'm writing this on my phone.)
