Holy cow this book was amazing. Jenni James has an amazing talent for making readers fall in love with her characters in the shortest amount of time.I cannot get over how amazing Tony Russo is. I fell in love with him almost as fast as Claire did. Claire is in love with Twilight, as I was when I first read the book. I wasn't as obsessed as she is, but I can relate with her pretty well. I mean, I we are almost the same person, it's scary. Haha. Anyway, she gets to go on a trip with her parent's friends to Seattle, Washington.Back in her home town, she was never noticed by boys. But! Once she got to Seattle, that definitely changed. Spontaneous Jaden, who works in the favorite nearby mall, takes a liking to her; as does the mysterious Tony Russo, the child of the family they were visiting. Are vampires and werewolves real? Of course not, but some strange things happen in Seattle that make poor, naive Claire question reality. This book was adorable! It follows the idea from Austen's book, where the main character is caught up in the novels of the day and can't keep her real life and the fictitious stories separate. So, the main character in this book is obsessed with the "Twilight" novels. I thought it was so clever and funny. The only thing I didn't like was how caught up in romance this 16 year old girl was. Don't get me wrong, I was 16 once, but they're SO serious, as if they'll be with their high school romance forever. Very clean, as this is the goal of this author, clean reads for teens.
