I really enjoyed the premise of this one, the Egyptology (which I am not usually into) with the mummified bodies was different than any mystery I have read to date. You can see the progression of Tess's storytelling as the series goes along, the writing just keeps getting better and better, the flow of the story (with it being told from different characters points of view) gets more seamless and easier to follow, you can really feel the characters plights. I have bought the entire series, as I will definitely read these again. Even though the plot line of the show and the plot line of the books vastly differ, I am enjoying watching the show and reading the books. It also helps to keep them separate, I like that the show has a lot of humor this season (Season 5). I like that the books are a lot darker and are able to scare you to death! I began reading Tess Gerritsen after watching a season of Rizzoli & Isles. I enjoy her books and "The Keepsake" did not let me down. It was very fast paced reading, good character development, and I learned about Egyptology and archaeology. While the story is somewhat gruesome, it is, after all, a murder mystery and murder is gruesome. I thought she took just enough time to provide sufficient background information and did not dwell on details that were not significant and did not add to the tale. When you want to read a good mystery that keeps you guessing to the end, read Tess Gerritsen.
Do You like book Lembranças Macabras (2008)?
A pretty good read, pure escapism, which everyone needs every know and again. I like this series.
