Ladybug Girl is a series of books that is great for young children. The books are creative and explore a child's imagination. Lulu is the main character, and she wears her ladybug costume. When she is wearing her costume, she is a superhero in her own mind. She goes on adventures with her dog. I really like that this books shows a young girl becoming a superhero by using her imagination. This book is great to teach students about character development. This is a series, so Lulu's character continues to develop throughout the series. I enjoyed this cute story about a girl named Lulu. It’s a good read aloud, with bright illustrations. I particularly like the passion ad adventurous side this young main character has. She becomes ‘ladybug girl!’ She moves rocks for little ants. She plays in a pond and runs from sharks. She plays in the woods on trees. She uses her imagination. It’s nice to see a young girl playing outside in nature and exploring. It’s a positive message for all children they can be imaginative and resourceful, and outside!
