About book Judy Moody, Girl Detective (2010)

I really like the book because it shows how hard work will never let you dow. on page 70 judy was working on the case of the missing dog and she did find clues and not only her her friends too. on page 90 judy and the police were looking for clues on the supermarket and they found some mysterious guys looking for dog for the first time. you would like this book if you like to work hard in your mission, on what you want become and be.one challenge of this book was when judy have to find the last clue of the case to find mr.chips. I say this because is hard to look for a dog in a country full of dogs of the same color. the setting changes througth the story, sometimes was on the street, backyard, school houses, parks.judy is a great girls she always work hard on everything she felt like working hard. Age of Readership:8-9 yearsGenre:one of a seriesDiversity:strong female charactersIllustrations:pencil drawn illustrations of the text for the paragraph before. Stylizied, kind of cartoon like. Each character is distinct, down to posture and gesturesPersonal Reponse:I don't know if it's all the YA books I've been reading that have got me used to an older age group, but this book was not a favorite. It was slow, and drawn out in places I didn't think it needed to be. Perhaps starting at the beginning of the Judy Moody series, I would feel differently. The story was plotted fairly well, but descriptions and dialogue sort of left the reader floating.Curricular or programming connections:I think this book would do well in a program marketing strong female main characters. It would also be a good recommendation for those who want something easy going and yet entertaining. It was funny enough to be a good laugh.
