The book started off really good, it was very enjoyable for me. When I was introduced to Bram and Lyle I immediately thought of Browns Born trilogy which I absolutely loved. As the book progressed Gwyn went through some serious character development as well as other characters. However towards the last quarter of the book it seamed as though Brown became detached, almost as if she took a break from writing, only to come back a few months later and continue without referring back to what she had wrote. Other than that I loved the book and the ending was very suspenseful. Well done! I liked it but I did not love it. The book started a little slow for me but it did pick up before the end of the first half. Early on it reminded me of "The Giver" but it took a life of its own midway through. I have to be honest it was not my favorite book of Tara's, and I think I've read them all. I will probably pick up another of her books before I pick book 2 of the series. That is just my personal opinion.
This book was a trip! A bit slow at first but totally liked it!
