3.5 starsAh shit, what to say? This was quite good despite the ridiculous premise. It was sweet and I even teared up at one point damn it.But I felt like something was missing. There wasn't the angst and tension I expected and looked forward to when the confessions came and everything seemed to happen almost too smoothly?? Even the whole thing with the fire seemed a bit glossed over. And we don't really see much of Dante displaying his feelings and I really wish there was more of that. It's pretty much told through their short little conversation at after their little diddly-doo. like, oh yeah I was only a chick magnet because otherwise they'd flock to you. It's almost like a complete shift in character when he's shown to be so possesive after. idk, maybe that's just me. There was this story by Evangeline Anderson (The Assignment) that reminded me a lot of this book by Damon Suede and perhaps if I had read his book first I wouldn't have been as disbelieving or skeptical as I was while reading it. I liked the intensity of emotions, I loved, emphasis on LOVE, the descriptive story telling **oh my** and I liked the characters, the interaction between Dante and (forgot his name) made this story come alive and made me fall for their love story (somewhat). Due to fact that I do not like Evangeline Anderson's writing style and only because this reminded me of her and her lack of creativity when it comes to Gay romance I discovered that my review may come across as a bit biased and unfair but it is what it is and although I liked Hot Head it was all too convenient for me, two, once straight male best friends, falling in love was a bit of a cliche, UGHHH!! so alas I was daunted by the plot smh, however, overall I tolerated the dramatized idea of this steamy romance and couldn't find it in me to give this one anything less that four stars. YAYY!!
Do You like book Hot Head (2011)?
3 stars for the plot, writing and all the other details and another star for the HOTNESS OVERLOAD!
