This book blow me away. I have to say it has been a while seen I have been blown away, I know this is the 3 in the series and there are more books to come but, this is my favorite . I haven't cried this much in a while. But, I felt love, hope, some magic in this great book. The more I read about the McCoy's, the more I want my own cowboy. I loved reading this so much, I think the writing style is wonderful and from beginning till end you are taken on a great adventure through this book. I did not want this book to end, its that good. If you love cowboys, romance, magic, and a great story with some New Orleans as a bonus. Highly recommend, you will love it. I don't know how this book got 4 or 5 star reviews. I read the first two in this series and loved them. This book however....I wish i could erase from my memory. The supposed "hero" Joseph, has got to be hands-down the worst male romance character I have ever read about. He was selfish, mean, cruel, insensitive, rude.....just awful. I could have lived with him though, if he had come around when i thought he was going to. But alas, nope. He didn't come around till the 98% mark in this book -- and that took the temporary death of Cady, the very sweet, very unselfish heroine.SPOILER:AS I said, if Joseph had come around when I thought, this might have been really really good. But here's what happened...Cady takes his pain and semi-paralysis away and unto herself. She goes back to her home town so he won't feel guilty seeing her in that state. Does he come after her? no. Even when he figures it out that she must have done that? no.Then, she comes back to the ranch, 3 weeks later. Is he falling at her feet with gratitude? No. She is currently stuck with pain and a limp. From there, it just gets SO much worse. He not only allows another woman to kiss him in front of Cady, but he kisses back, later claiming that it was just from "habit."Later at dinner, when Cady thinks he is going to propose to her, he actually is just asking for a somewhat exclusive relationship, meaning .... only when they are in town together. At this point, I was nauseated. This is not the kind of romance novel I like.FInally, nail in the coffin, when they get home from dinner, Cady being crushed beyond belief, he goes along with his brothers in believing she told some major lies to a reporter. The fact that he could even for a minute believe that is just horrific. She healed him from paralysis, she helped and healed his brothers wife, while also being the person who made it possible to save another brother's wife.Anyhoo, a chapter later, he finally says he loves her, only when she has been electrocuted and isn't breathing.Ugh. I am now off to purge my mind from this storyline. I am not sure I should read any more Sable Hunter books if she writes these kind of heroes.
Do You like book Her Magic Touch (2011)?
Many places within the story were ludicrous and/or unbelievable. The story did not have depth and had too much going on - too many different characters with their own stories or continuation of their stories. Probably the reason why Joseph and Cady's story had no depth to it. At times, it read like very bad porn - at these points, I wondered if it was written by an adolescent boy. The lines were cheesy. Sex should not be used as a filler and should be written well. Will definitely be avoiding others in the series if this book is an example.

As much as I want to love this book I can't. Mostly because, again, there are too many point of views that the author put in it. Sure at some point it's quite helpful but somehow it's confusing as hell. I was trying so hard to keep up. I don't get Joseph. He's such a hot and cold guy. He's paralyze yet acting like he's not. He's a bit annoying. And the idea of they're 'meant to be each other' thingy is a bit ridiculous, personally. But overall I enjoyed it though it's not my favorite. Looking forward to read the next one. :)

This one was lacking. Joseph was a jerk and Cady was a doormat. Plus the editing was poor.
