About book Burning Love (Hell Yeah! Cajun Style, #1) (2000)
HOT, SPICY, SEXXY, LIL'BIT 'O MYSTERY READ. I TOTAL LOVED THE "HELL YEAH" SERIES THIS IS PART OF THE CAJUN SERIES. IT HAS BEAU-RAY SUPER HOT SEXXY-AS-HELL ALPHA GOD & TROUBLED NADA HIS CHILDHOOD SWEETHEART, LOVE OF BEAU-RAY'S LIFE, COMBINED THEM WITH A PSYCO BOMBER, YA' GOT ONE GREAT STORY. WOW! THAT COVER IS JUST HOW I PICTURED HIM TO LOOK . . . BA-BOOOOOOOM! HOLY MACARONI! HE IS A HUNKA-HUNKA BURNING CAJUN LOVE! MERCY!! This book is a perfect example of an author having ALOT of ideas and trying to put it all into one book, this story is so rushed. It read like a porn script. I felt that the author was in such a rush to get these two characters into bed together that she forgot to focus on the storyline in between the bedroom scenes. The characters had SO much going for them that they didn't feel real! Nada (Harley) not only had a terrible past that she overcame - but she was also once a Navy Special op, now a bomb tech that runs her own company and last not least she had psychic abilities! This book could have easily been made into 2 great novels and the characters had enough going for them that it could have been pulled apart to create two other characters with depth outside of the bedroom. This novel really does lack depth, that "thing" that make you believe these characters are real and you think you might run into them in the store. I didn't connect to any part of this story and apart from some hot sex scenes I don't recommend it.

Interesting storyline and likable characters, but super cheesy dialog. Major eye-rolling moments!!

good book, the only thing I didn't like reading about was her being raped (twice).
