How can you go wrong when your writing about a sexy Cajun and love lost and found. This book has depth and courage writing about such a taboo topic. The background information from Beau and Nada's teen years was a basis for the story. I love the fact that Nada is a strong, independent woman who manages to get past a horrible past and become a woman that most women only wish we could be. Once these two discover each other again the heat turns up and the past comes back to haunt them. I love the characters and the way the author managed to convey Nada's strengths and the courage to get the help to move on to an extremely healthy relationship. Beau was very alpha and I think somewhere deep inside all women we want a man who is capable of the strengths he has to take care of us. Excellent book! I can't wait to see what the next Cajun book will be because these men really do know how to love a woman. If you enjoyed the Hell Yeah series, this series is even better!!! This is the 1st book in the Cajun Spice series.It is the endearing love story of Beau and Harley(Nada) who meet each other 16 years ago in a children's home - unfortunately they become separated. The events that have occurred during that span of time and its effects are displayed upon their reuniting. Very emotional but so worth the read.The storyline itself is compelling. What did it for me was the supernatural, historical aspects, and descriptive scenery - Caddo Lake, alligators and snakes - I think I need to make a trip down south and experience for myself!!
