***after waking up, I've decided not to edit my review. The book sucked. Typos be damned.***awful. just awful. Natalie is the dumbest, most selfish character ever. Nolan is dumb too.First, after Nolan's mom dies, she gets on his case for being distant. his mom just died, you moron!second, she wants Nolan to call to explain himself and end their "break", but first she refuses to answer his calls, then when they miss each others calls she still holds on to the " he must not want me" crap and starts flirting with someone else.third, if a friend tells you the guy you're seeing may have drugged her, why the hell would you continue to date him?Fourth, when you're drugged, why would you delude yourself into thinking it wasn't the guy you were warned about?!Fifth, no one calls the police anymore?I could go on and on about this book. The plot was awful, the characters were awful. I hate that I read it and ruined my night. I hated it so much, that I got up at 2am to write this review on my phone. I did not care about the inevitable typos.AWFUL! I just have to start out by saying that I wasn't a huge fan of the first book in this series. With that being said, this one was sooo much better. There were a few times that I just wanted to shake both Natalie and Nolan because of their immaturity but overall I really liked their story. This one picks up where HARD TO RESIST left off. Nolan must move back to California to care for his sick mother, leaving Natalie behind in Florida. Nolan's mother passes away and this leaves him reeling with his emotions all over the place. I realize that he was grieving but I really just wanted to reach through the book and slap him for being such an ass. She flew all the way to Cali to comfort him during his time of loss and he just blows her off. So frustrating.... Anyway, with their relationship now on a shaky foundation, that leaves the door wide open for all the problem makers to enter. And OMG do they ever. This was one drama filled story. One minute you think they are going to get it together and then the next someone screws it all up. Natalie is no saint either and there was a time (I'm not going to lie) that I was yelling "What the hell are you doing? No! Don't be so stupid!" out loud. If you can evoke so many emotions in me while I read your work, you have a reader for life. Well done Shanora!
