I liked it but. I need some dialog and I am not getting it. I am not a fan of inner thoughts, I prefer a good dialog and it is so unfortunate that the story is lacking. It might be similar with so many books buy hey, so many authors books, stories, it's a must to have similarities. My trouble is with the way the book is written. I find myself flipping pages just to reach some dialog, action, interaction. Most probably i will go on and read the other stories to find out how Bastian and Myst story continues and how a baby-dragon can be born without killing the mother and in the process I will see how the other pairing will happen. I read a number of the reviews before I started the book so expected a lot of similarities to the BDB series. That was fine with me because I loved all the books by the Warden. My question was could this author do justice to the theme. The answer is a resounding yes. I loved the characters. I loved the story. I loved the romance. Here I must break for a brief aside. I have started a rigorous daily exercise regime. I have found listening to books helps me a great deal. Time passes quickly and I read/listen to a great story. A win-win in my book. This book was a bit awkward to listen to while exercising. I couldn't tell if I was sweating from the graphic descriptions of sex or from my own physical exertions. In the end I chose to read the last 25% for many reasons. (I'll let you pick the bones out of that one). An excellent book. I will continue to read the series and learn more about dragon kind.
