Okay. So I'm up to book 3 in this series and am kinda annoyed that I read a few reviews before I read the books. Now I can't get the Black Dagger Brotherhood references out of my head. Not fair to the author as I wonder if I'd have picked up on it. Nah. Who am I kidding of course I would have.Anyway, kinda getting sick of all the internal dialogue these guy's and gal's have. 'Oh he's so amazing, she's so smart, and hot, and sexy, and hot ...' And really, who cares about what Ivan is up to?? I skimmed through the Lesser's crap in BDB and am tending to do the same with Ivan. Nial? I'm forcing myself to read as I think he could have his own book somewhere down the line.I'm finding the timing a little off in this series. Something that should only take 10 seconds seems to drag on for an hour. I now the author is trying to pull us into the action but seriously, 10 pages later and we're still reading about something that should have happened in the blink of an eye. And since I'm on a roll with what annoys me. Seriously, why are they stomping their feet into their 'shitkickers' when they've magically conjured them onto their bodies?? I don't know. I don't get it.Still, these books and characters are keeping me relatively entertained and I will continue to read the series. So I guess they aren't THAT bad ;) This is Mac and Tania's story as they carry on with what they started in Rikar's book. Just like book 2, this book delves a little bit deeper into the Dragonkind world but without overloading you with details.Mac is just the star of the show in my eyes - the whole book just confirms what a complex but intriguing character he is. Tania is the perfect female for him as she is not straightforward either. They both have history that they need to deal with before they can be together so the question is will they actually be able to put everything behind them and trust each other?We also get a show from 'old' favourites, Myst and Bastian, as they have their Dragonkind Wedding but we are also introduced to a couple of new characters. One which I hope to read more about is Tania's sister, J.J. I am really hoping she will star in a book of her own.This series just keeps on getting better and I am really enjoying them. My one gripe remains the same - they end just too quickly.
