This is a love story, a total 100% love story. It starts off with two men who have known each other their entire lives becoming lovers, and is basically the ping pong of their early physical relationship, because as the book shows they have had an incredibly strong emotional bond.Nate and Jake are awesome, emotionally there are some glitches, but they deal with them as adults. So far so good. But its told in alternating POV, which quickly becomes repetitious, and doesn't enhance anything. And then there is the sex, they are so keen for each other, and are at it like Duracell bunnies all the time that I switched off, there is only so much sucking, keening, opening, filing and whimpering that I can take without any actual plot. Then towards the end it pulls it socks up, and the sweetness takes over again. This fucking book... It started out nice, but it just got worse and worse as it went on. I thought people might've been exaggerating about the sweetness, but nope. I didn't mind too much how sickeningly sweet it was, but the moments of angst that came up between them were incredibly lame. Ugh, and don't even get me started on the rushed ending. A few of the repetitive sex scenes could've been cut to allow a better end. I will say, however, that I did enjoy the flashbacks and they were very cute together. I loved their lifelong bond.
