About book E. Aster Bunnymund And The Warrior Eggs At The Earth's Core (2012)
I can't believe how well-crafted these books are. The characterization is amazing (1: I love Nightlight; 2: Pitch's backstory is the saddest thing I have ever read, I almost started crying), for one thing. The structure, foreshadowing, suspense, attention to detail... he full on specifies at one point that North's sword doesn't shine as brightly as it could so that he ISN'T a bright glowing target in the darkness, which is weirdly awesome to me. Like who else would think to note that? Everyone else would probably charge on with their magic sword light powered up to four thousand. And little things that make you go 'oh that's weird, wonder why that is, probably not important' then turn around and make you go 'WHY DIDN'T I REMEMBER THAT, IT WAS IMPORTANT' and it all comes together and jeez it's just great. I would absolutely recommend these to any children I knew (if I knew any). They're definitely not dumbed-down at all. Also: "taking the sorrows of those you love makes you stronger in the end"EXCUSE ME I THOUGHT THIS WAS A CHILDREN'S BOOK this is so sad ;-;oh Nightlightoh Pitch It was a very excellent, very fast-paced and very adventurous book. It had really well done art work, really great illustrations, great characters, great action, very exciting adventure and a very fast-paced story. It is a great addition to the "The Guardians" book series. I'm looking forward to read "Toothiana: Queen of the Tooth Fairy Armies" and "The Sandman and the War of Dreams." I strongly recommend this book to all ages.
