About book Der Hundertjährige, Der Aus Dem Fenster Stieg Und Verschwand (2009)
An entertaining read. Full of history that I wish I'd paid more attention to in high school. Crazy characters and unbelievable situations but so full of action and suspense that you don't have enough time to think about how ridiculous it all is. Highly recommend it. On a side note, I just watched the movie and it's not nearly as good as the book but still worth watching if you're too lazy to read it. I regret every second I spent on reading this book and I'm glad I stopped at page 64.The runaway is followed by two sorts of people, and as he's followed, you have to read the events for three times, each with a different perspective; and since there is nothing especial in any of those perspectives, the story manages to be one of the dullest stories of all time, added with a spoiled humor.Besides being dull (cause I can tolerate dull) the writer's premise is one of the thinnest imaginable; and even that thin premise is not well established.I guess at the end of the day, I'm against any opinion on the basis of ridiculing absolutely anything on earth which can conclude the slightest value. I'm against running away from all values of the world, and running away seems to be the mission of this book. Although "mission" seems to be too a strong word to describe such a novel.

Savoureux, de bout en bout, à la fois le présent et son riche passé, plein d'humour.
