Natascha was kidnapped at the age of 10 and she was held captive for 8 years till she fled from the kidnapper.Reading through the pages my heart went out to Natascha for all the sufferings and I salute her extraordinary ability to tolerate while at the same time I couldn't help admiring her determination. If I were on her shoes, I am pretty sure I would not have survived even for few months leave aside 8 years. This was an interesting read about an Austrian girl who was kidnapped and held prisoner for 8 years until her courageous escape. This book details her thoughts and the constant struggle within herself to stay alive and plan for escape; also, it describes the emotional and physical stress and abuse her tormentor inflicted on her. The fact that she survived all those years in and her ability to tell of those past events is astonishing.
