Wow, it's so bittersweet to think that I have finally finished this series. This was one of the only series that actually kept my attention and made me want to read more. I absolutely loved it. I loved the characters. And it's sad that I won't hear any more about Claire or the gang. This book was a really good finish to the series. I couldn't imagine it ending any other way. Some twists and surprises along the way,but that's Morganville for you. I was really sad to be reading the last of the Morganville vampires series, but also really excited because I knew they would at least go out with a bang! Caine did not disappoint! When the gang gets back to town after their trist in Massechusets, the town is overrun by the Daylight Foundation, whi immediately take Myrnin, Micheal, and Oliver into custody and kock them up with the rest of the vampires. The Dayloghters say they just want to help the vampires, but what they are doing is a bit darker than they let on, and its uo to Claire and whats left of her friends to expose and take down the Daylighters. This book was filled with action and suspense with the perfect mix of humor! Mrynin has really grown on me, I just love him! The best part is everything that happens in this book is because of him, so it's kind of his story, which was really different. I also feel like the book showed a much stronger, more caring side of Amelie, and what she would do as a leader to protect her vampires. This book was so well done! Really a great end for this series! The very end was amazing! I am sad for it to be over, but if it had to end, this was the best way to do it!
