In Morganville, there is no such thing as a vacation. So, when things have been quiet for a while, it is only natural that something bad happens. Again.One of the biggest things with "Bite Club" was that we got to see the darker parts of Shane. The parts that remind him of his father. The parts that don't like vampires and do like fighting. The parts that he is ashamed of. We have some old characters join the party in "Bite Club". I loved the fact that Caine brought them in again. It was interesting to see what happened to them.There isn't as much romance in "Bite Club" as in some of the other Morganville books. I liked that part. That means that we get to see Claire and her friends kick some butt. We also get to see how much Morganville has made an impression on Claire when she gets a surprising phone call.Classic Morganville. On to the next one! This was unfortunately another fairly dull instalment in this series. Each book seems to be getting worse, and the fact that each book opens with a random event (like a play, or the opening of a martial arts studio) that the whole book then is about, is irritating. It’s like most of these books are just filler books until we get back to what is really important!I have to say that this book was pretty darn dull, and I struggled to stay awake whilst reading it. It wasn’t quite as bad as some of the novellas in this series, but it wasn’t good either. I’m thankful that there aren’t many more books to go!6 out of 10.
