Either I wasn't in the mood, or was getting bored by the series. I mean its already twelve books in the series...so far. Finally I got around to reading this again, more than once but stopped reading after a bit. After finishing it I wondered why did I ever think I wouldn't like the series anymore? It's still fast paced and fun read, with familiar characters and some new ones put into the mix. In this one the Draug are still a threat as the vampires and humans have to work together to figure out what to do about the current situation. Tensions definitely rise as they try to figure out how to save their town. All the while the pressure is on for Myrnin and Claire to think what they can come up with. No rush or anything isn't there? Also poor Shane, after what he's been through during this, he needs a LOT of sleep and maybe some therapy or just his friends to help snap him out of it...again. While I don't mind the POV's now and then it did seem like it took me out of the story for a bit. Other than that, another good sequel in the vampire series. I didn't enjoy the multiple POV's this time as much. In fact I really didn't enjoy Micheal's, some of Eve's and Shane's in the beginning of this book they seemed to drag some. I did enjoy them better starting towards the middle and the end. I didn't think I would have liked Oliver's POV but I ended up loving it.The ending of course leaves you wondering whats next?. Not really a cliffhanger but leaves you with plenty of questions, and grim predictions with what's going to go down in Morganville. Buddy Read
