Do You like book Dark Angel (1990)?
I will shamelessly always adore this book. Troy was my teen-aged self's ideal man. It oozed romance, intrigue, and drama that sucked me in then and continues to bring me back. Tony, Jillian, The Casteel family, even Rye Whiskey and Curtis all hold a special place in my heart.Novels that were truly written by Ms. Andrews were Flowers in the Attic, Petals on the Wind, If There Be Thorns, Seeds of Yesterday, My Sweet Audrina, Heaven, and Dark Angel. When Virginia became seriously ill while writing the Casteel series, she began to work even harder, hoping to finish as many stories as possible so that her fans could one day share them. Since her death many have wondered whether there would continue to be new V.C. Andrews novels. Beginning with the final books in the Casteel series they worked closely with a carefully selected writer to organize and complete Virginia's stories and to expand upon them. The identity of this writer was kept a secret from the general public at the request of the Andrews family for years. The ghostwriter has since been identified as thriller and horror novelist Andrew Niederman.The novels that may have been begun by Andrews and finished by Neiderman were Garden of Shadows, Fallen Hearts, Gates of Paradise, and Web of Dreams. Everything after Dawn was written by Neiderman.

This was better than the first in the series. We come to Heaven leaving the Willies and flying off to Boston to meet her dead mother's parents. Here she is dressed with the finest clothes, goes to the finest school for her senior year, and befriends her step-grandfather's brother, Troy. Troy is off-limits to her says Tony, her step-grandfather, due to his strange behaviors.Needless to say, Heaven does try and contact all of her brothers and sisters, only to find that they really don't need her. Our Jane and Keith are developing wonderfully with their new family, Tom is living with their Pa and working the circus with plans to buy it from the current owner. And Fanny had given birth to the Reverands child and was given $10,000 to leave; she goes to Nashville but never amounts to anything, just looking for the next person with money to support her.Heaven does see Logan too; these two have a strange relationship. He's always helping her, but they're always fighting w/ eachother. She ends up in a relationship w/ Troy and they plan to marry, until Tony drops a bombshell on her that makes all of her dreams impossible.With a twist at the end that involves the unexpected death of someone who is extremely close to Heaven, this book ends with hope for her future, but not with the man she intended it to be with.

I didn't really like this one as much as the first one. Heaven finally meets her mother's mother, and basically, Heaven just lives in her own little bubble.She wants to go to college and will basically do whatever it takes, or use anyone it takes, to get there.She is still quite naive. Completely oblivious to anyone other than herself and her needs or wants. She doesn't know how to forgive or let go of anything.In the first book she was pretty much likeable in the second she was mostly petty and selfish in someways as she struggles to get what she wants. There are more untold secrets and hidden truths that can't be ignored.A very emotional and heartbreaking ending...With a dash of hope.V.C Andrews wrote books that are like little soap operas that you can carry around in your purse, or bag. Your guilty pleasure.
