I loved this story and mainly because Maggie was miserable and huge. Maggie was annoying in Michael's story with her smart ass mouth always trying to cut Michael down. She deserved to be alone but anyway! Max Max Max. I don't care for stories that tend to have the brother's best friend with the sister. Because Max never looked at Carina any sort of way but as a sister then they tried to throw it in there and act like he did. No he didn't or his attraction would've always showed not just him brushing her off and not noticing her. Not to mention he spoke as if her old emotional self was annoying. With that being said that was the only flaw. I loved Carina which is a plot twist because usually I like the men in stories. Carina is all grown up and ready for some freedom. She's learned to control her emotions and not have temper tantrums. When Max learns she is to be his assistant, he tries to convince Michael to put her in the accounting department. When Carina walks in, Max is shocked to realize she is different - all grown up and poised. As they work together, Max is attracted to her and trying to "save" her from the men in the world who only want sex. When Carina informs him that is all she wants too, he is tortured because he wants her so badly. One night in Vegas, they have their amazing one night stand but are found by Carina's mother who insists they get married. They get married but now there is distance between them. Meanwhile Carina is still trying to find her place, at the bakery or with her art? This book was an easy fluff romance that you really didn't have to think about when you read. If you are looking for meaningless book, this is it. It was okay, but mostly just wanted to finish it.
