I’ve never read a novel by Jennifer Probst before and I am happy to say that this one will not be my last. I loved the sound of the book after reading the blurb and I jumped on it. Granted, it was the second book in the series and I hadn’t read the first, but with Ms. Probst’s talented writing style, I was able to fully enjoy this page-turner with no issues!I loved Kennedy. I thought she was funny and very much determined! I loved her matchmaking skills, something I don’t think I could ever be good at! But, I loved how Ms. Probst portrayed her like any other woman, with secrets and insecurities, something I still have about myself even if I did marry the man of my dreams! Kennedy, however, is wonderfully portrayed as the broken yet confident woman who runs the very successful Kinnections.Nate. Let me see. Can I just say Oh-la-la? I loved him! His nerdy self mixed with someone has a tender side full of love and compassion. Ms. Probst definitely did a wonderful job with his creation. He was created with a wonderful nerdy sense of humor and watching him be transformed……well, it makes me debate on whether I loved his nerdy self more, or the new side that Kennedy has created. In the end, I loved everything about the super sexy geek!I definitely enjoyed this book and am looking forward to going back to reading book 1 and any others that Ms. Probst adds to this laugh-out-loud, drool worthy series! If you are looking for a hook-me-instantly, page turning, romantic experience, then grab a copy of this book. It’s not confusing coming in on the second book (it could be a stand alone, easily!), it’s captivating and will keep you up long into the night to watch two people searching for their perfect love, and over coming their past selves! Well done, Ms. Probst, well done! I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review - Originally posted on TwoClassyChics.comWhen I first started reading this book, I had to smile. It is humorous how the author creates some of her characters with all of the flaws and no social savvy at all. Nate is a nerd with a capitol N and you just know that this makeover is going to be spectacular. The author has a fondness for strong women that have insecurities yet exude confidence to all but the most tuned-in. This book’s strong women, Kennedy, is a typical Probst woman – beautiful, witty, calm and in need of the right man. Yet they are so difficult to find unless you look right in front of you. The author creates a great story and has her characters strong and smart and not ashamed of it. It is a pleasure to read a book where confidence abounds and when it breaks down, there are strong relationships and friendships to back them up.I loved the humor that Nate has. The Nerd is dry and sarcastic yet has the heart that you expect from a gentleman. This was a fun book to read, as is all of Probst’s offerings. She is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors in this genre. None of her stories have disappointed and I enjoy how she connects all of the books together somehow with a common thread or connection. It is fun when the lightbulb goes off. Plus I really like that all of the Probst books can stand alone. Even though they are in a series, she offers enough information to tie them together so you are not lost. That is important to me!I really enjoyed reading the second in the series Searching for Perfect and can only hope the third book is not long to wait. Great read! Definitely one to grab!
