Do You like book A Dog Purpose (2000)?
I went cover to cover in three hours on a flight from Boston to Minneapolis. This book jumped out at me in the airport because the cute pooch on the cover looked like the oldest of my three black lab mixes. Let me tell you, I cried, I laughed, I felt my heart grow three sizes bigger. Cameron just gets it. Seriously, he just absolutely gets it. If you have loved a dog at any point in your life this all makes perfect sense and each journey is oh so genuine. Our narrator is amazing; the way the dog-like thought process is worked into the narrative still makes it human-friendly and coherent (and captivating!). Favorite book I have read in years, I can't wait to read A Dog's Journey. Well done, sir!

A thoroughly delightful book. The author clearly knows dogs, their thoughts and feelings for people; the bond between them, the sense of accomplishment a working dog has and a dog's understanding of human pain and illness. The fantastic idea that a dog would have several lives (like a cat?) is creative, though hard to believe, yet each life carefully led to the next and a new, but related purpose would be revealed. Each life, teaching skills and understandings that helped him deal with the next life and it's purpose. A grand story teller, Bruce Cameron,is not surprisingly a bestselling author.
