If this is your first shifter book, you are going to love this story.But, If you are like me and you have read hundreds of them you will find some flaws. The insta-love at the speed of a bullet was one of them.However, the wonderful pin size Lainey for sure make up for it. This gorgeous klutz was so was hilarious that I enjoyed this story thanks to him.This is book one from the series, and I'm quite sure I will keep reading the sequels. 2.5 StarsDevlin is looking to move his business and his pack. During his search, he finds his mate. Laine Campbell is a klutz and accident-prone. Laine is also the omega of his pack and is mistreated by his alpha. Dev and Laine are destined to be together but Laine's alpha is determined to keep him for himself. Dev is soon forced to fight for his life in a battle for the top-spot to protect his mate. This one was okay. Laine and Dev were too cheesy at times and the story was a little sophomoric. I'm a sucker for m/m PNR, however, so I want to try book 2 before giving up on the series.Bottom-line: I love a shifter m/m story but this one lacked originality and didn't deliver the goods. I hope book 2 is better.
