I liked this better than the previous installment, although it still felt a bit stilted to me. It was a bit easier to get into, but still there are a lot of leaps to make, and names to follow, before understanding what exactly is happening. I liked the development of the relationship between Si and Payton, although Simon was kind of aggressive... not that Payton was complaining. I loved Nate's reaction. The mystery/adventure part of the story moved it along, although I'm not sure I care that much... Taken as fun, swashbuckling entertainment it's a good series. I liked this one a lot more then the first in the series; that doesn't happen very often. Payton was a great character, he had a personality that sat on the border of too innocent and experienced, depending on the situation. Of the brothers so far I'd say he's by far my favorite. Now I have to say I read this in one sitting, it was a short read probably only took me 4 hours. I was thoroughly engrossed in the story, but the one thing that bugged me was Simon's aggression during sex. It seemed more demeaning then "alpha" to me. If he'd been the tiniest bit more tender towards Payton I'd have been completely on board, but alas you can't have everything!Anyway, I highly recommend this series, the characters are fun and the mystery in the story kept my attention. Give it a go!
Do You like book The Englor Affair (2008)?
Who knew a sci-fi regency could be so fun...and so HOT? I'm loving this series.

Didn't love it. I wasn't thrilled with the MC's.
