About book Tribulations D'une Fan De Jane Austen (2014)

This book is fantastic. It shows how out of place our society is. For people that want out of their lifes, for people that want a fresh strart, it´s an interesting book. I found it really funny in many different ocassions, such as, when "Jane" gets in the car and thinks What is this!I would really recommend this book. I think that for people that are in search of love or with somebody that they are not sure is for them, it will be perfect. That is because it shows how a man should treat you. I learned that selfrespect is very important, not that I didn´t know it before but, it is. The written language is remarkable, the author did an incredible job.I would certainly recommend it for women aged since 14. This is the follow-up to Confessions. In this one, a 19th century gentleman's daughter wakes up in the body of a 21st century hollywood agent's assistant. While the book started very slowly, it did build a head of steam, and by the end, I enjoyed it. The book begins with our heroine waking up with an aching noggin two centuries in the future. She is surrounded by idiots. Seriously, if I woke up to find that Paula and Anna were my best friends, I'd try like crazy to go back to sleep for another couple hundred years. What a pair of brainless, self-absorbed Sex In the City wannabes. Of course Courtney/Jane needs to become familiar with her surroundings, and while there is some humor in a Regency lady trying unlock the mysteries of the electric light, it gets old after a while. And then there's the witch/fortune teller/whatever who makes it all possible. I think the author did a particularly poor job of making her feel believable. She's mysterious, but not in a good way. She's mysterious like a peanut butter and mayonnaise sandwich: vaguely disconcerting, confusing, and with undefined purpose. But in the end, the book finds some focus and Courtney/Jane carries the day.

Do You like book Tribulations D'une Fan De Jane Austen (2014)?

Scusatemi, non ce la faccio. Se il primo era simpatico, questo è noioso ai limiti dell'imbarazzo.

2.5. Okay, but kind of silly. Not necessarily true to Austen or believable at all, but fun.

Started off a lot better than it ended. The end seemed rushed and a cop out.
