Tracker is book six in the Rylee Adamson novels by Shannon Mayer. Orion is making a bid for the world and the vampires still want Rylee to make them vampire ruler. Things are getting interesting.Rylee has been blackmailed into helping Faris with the challenge to become vampire ruler, even if she doesn't want to. Liam must deal with human weapons that work on the supernatural, although he hates being separated from Rylee.Tracker pulls together all the final threads before its time to start preparing for the demon threat. The vampire issue settles down and Liam and Milly find their uneasy truce. Rylee's family comes together to pull them through one more seemingly impossible situation. This series is a must for me although it did take me a while to get round to reading. There is a really dark tone to these books and Mayer doesn't hold back with the punches both physically and emotionally. That being said Rylee and her ragtag family are wonderfully heartwarming and loyal and they are a joy to read. I enjoyed this tale in Rylee's search for the Blood and Faris plays a very intriguing role, I never thought I would start to change my mind about him but I did! That's the power of Mayer and her stories. Completely top class and under rated, Mayer is worthy of sitting up there with the big guns like Illona Andrews, Kim Harrison and Patricia Briggs. Brilliant.
This has become one of my favorite series. Can't wait for the next one in the series.
