This is a great story about 2 people who were in love 10 years ago but screwed up and are now back together again. Both Jackson and Ava are broken people the problem is they have never learned how to open up to another person. This is a great story though about finding love and finding a way to let yourself be loved in return. I would recommend this book to anyone. This is another hit in this series but it can be read as a stand alone. Chloe Cox does a wonderful job of creating the everyday character that anyone can identify with. The Heroine, Ava, has an alcoholic mother who has contributed to Ava's insecurities and trust issues. Jackson has been so terrified of becoming his abusive father that he has worked very hard to build himself into the man any mother would be proud of. Along the way, he forgot how to communicate. Okay, so that is just a man thing. These people are real. I liked them. I wanted to know them. I felt what they felt. Their coming together to help each other grow was inspiring. Some of the methods that Jackson employed were very creative. I have a new concept of a Dom helping a sub to fly. Wow! Did she fly! The metaphor of "baring ones self" was not lost on me. A wonderful romance with spice.

A fun read. (Cover image doesn't match character description--but that's not why I bought it.)

Not for me. Too much running away and communication failures to be enjoyable.
