I was given this book by author for honest review. Marcus Roma met Harlow Chase when they were both younger then he left and she’s devastated. The emotions this book covers are off the charts. Anger, Regret, Lust, Love, Hate, etc it has them all. As well as Harlow trying to play the Pollyanna bright side game to cope with all she’s had to. The title is also turned into an inside joke game between Marcus and Harlow. I encourage you to read the book to find out how. I'm a real sucker for an emotionally charged love story. Lie To Me by Chloe Cox was just that a very emotional story. I loved this book from the very first page to the very last. I haven't had the privilege to read any of Chloe's previous books. I've heard they are different from Lie To Me. I have to say I'm intrigued and based on her writing I would gladly read her other books. The characters deep connection was what hooked me. It's not an easy task to convey years and years of emotion in a book. I'm so happy at what this author accomplished in writing this book. She deserves some applause. Seven long years have passed. Marcus broke Harlow's heart when he left without an explanation or even a goodbye. Now he's back and Harlow doesn't know what he wants from her. She thought he left because she wasn't good enough for her. After her parents died Marcus helped her feel again. He taught her how to be strong. The problem is that Marcus makes her forget all the pain she experienced in the years he was gone. Marcus isn't sure if Harlow is ready to know why he actually left and why he's back. The one thing he is sure of he doesn't ever want to leave her again. The years they were a part was pure torture for him. Will Harlow and Marcus find a way back to each other or will the fear of losing it all be their end?Marcus as a fighter was a wonderful image. I could totally picture it in my head. The very first time he sees her in the gym is the moment that everything changes. He instantly wants to know her. It was such a beautiful and perfect start to their friendship. Then through all the heartache they experienced they were together. The old saying goes for them they could face anything as long as they did it together. Only if they realized that sooner! Then we wouldn't of been privy to this amazingly emotional book. If you are looking for a well written and emotional love story then you certainly should read this one.
